MN GOP is trying to paint a picture of DFL being the reason we have a special session.

Since 2008 whenever the GOP has any power we have a special session to pass the budget.

Budget years since 2008 with a completed budget on time….2009 and 2023 when the DFL was in charge.

Who is the problem?

Political theater about fraud doesn’t make it better. Actually law changes does.

Trump’s chaos and threats are creating financial uncertainty. When consumer confidence dips so do tax revenue the budget forecast reflect that.

My wife’s colleague Simon Glaser is running for Minnesota State Senate in SD24. He will attempt to unseat longtime Republican Carla Nelson, who is sponsoring an anti-trans bill in the state legislature.

Please consider supporting or donating to flip this seat back to the DFL.

Hearing the VITAL MA outpatient rates bill. Choosing to not invest in these services is choosing to spend more money in hospitalizations, waiver funds, and crisis services.

Social Security is the greatest promise that Americans have made to one another.

A promise that you can live a dignified life after you retire, become disabled, or lose a family breadwinner.

Many low income seniors get meals of wheels on a sliding scale. This will gut those funds.
Yesterday, every single GOP member in the House Taxes Committee voted to CUT funding for Meals on Wheels, a program dedicated to delivering food to seniors in need. How does this make us better off? How does this support our communities?

Thanks for highlighting this!
Last week the GOP heard one of their bills to “combat” fraud, waste and abuse. Which is their message of the session. Listen to @repkimhicks.bsky.social point out just one flaw in this bill. Please don’t just listen to GOP messaging, also look at how they govern what they run on (not well).

Voters in Duane Quam’s district independently organized a recall that has been accepted by the MN SOS and is now heading to the Supreme Court.

The GOP has been unsuccessful in getting one of their recalls completed correctly.

“Delete” the CFPB & IRS. Abolish bank regulators. Gut Social Security and Medicare.

The Musk-Trump administration’s plots all boil down to the same thing: swindle working people, funnel money to the ultra-rich.

The GOP are willing to sacrifice democracy to achieve their own power.
Don't overlook what's happening in the states: A MN Republican has introduced a bill to apportion the state Senate by county (one senator per county), rather than population. It would effectively lock in GOP control of the chamber for decades. minnesotareformer.com/2025/02/03/g...
