uh-oh. turns out the mortgage document that the DOJ is alleging was fraudulent b/c great niece paid some rent (great niece testified she didn't) refers to "short-term rentals," which seems to blow DOJ theory that it could't be rented out of the water. Another disaster of a case.

ugh. it might give the impression of the actual reasoning behind the decision ,which by the way typically comes w/in inches of finally resolving it. this is a very weak reason for the shadow docket, given its outsize costs to justice and the litigants.
