This is daft. Just create freedom of movement already.
One can make the case for requiring either a UK passport or some further documentation for dual British nationals to enter the country (this is true for eg the US). But making this change rapidly and getting a certificate so expensive is yet another Home Office cockup. Why always so draconian?
Gabrielle was all set for a routine trip from Australia to the UK. Then the rules for dual citizens suddenly changed

Meatball and beetroot salad smørrebrød 🇩🇰 from ScandiKitchen, Great Titchfield Street W1. This place is always a winner, particularly love this smørrebrød and the curried pickled herring 🤤 bit sad the kids don’t love it as much as I do. #redharesrestaurants

The bloke’s good at buying chemical companies for profit, there’s no doubt. But why, given he fucked up both Ineos Grenadiers and Manchester United, and doesn’t live in the UK, is his opinion on sports or this country worth anything? He thinks no British babies have been born for 6 years, FFS.
