So Wellens wins the race in olive groves
And UAE count victories in droves

A chase group formed, Van Gils 🇧🇪, Christen 🇨🇭, Pidcock 🇬🇧
He led them out, Christen swerved left, oh boy
Put Van Gils into the barriers, the shock!
His DSQ was good for Cosnefroy 🇫🇷

Wellens duelled, canny, with Mark Donovan 🇬🇧
His strength won out on those harsh gravel slopes
Soloed to the finish, so to toughen
Their aura, further crushing rivals’ hopes

Didn’t the Eldar have some foreshadowing from the Valar of a few of these relationships? At least Luthien / Beren. Also there’s some hints in the Silmarillion that it wasn’t all that uncommon, like there’s a couple of Finduilases who wanted to shack up with a hot dude.

“Eww”

“God said it was ok”

I know the NHS feels the gentle approach works much better than condemnation (and I can’t argue with their data), but… these parents decide to kill other people, not just their own children. It’s awful.

I can count at least 6 天王 off the top of my head…

Culminating with Hong Xiuquan whose religious beliefs resulted in the deaths of only 20m people.

Or maybe they were mostly peasants so they don’t count for Bertrand.

Perhaps specific to me as a United fan, but it was cringeworthy to see him weasel out of responsibility for appointing Amorim, who was a disaster. He can’t even own his mistakes (same for Ineos Grenadiers really).
