Since I knew Kirby could handle Ole Miss and Auburn on his own, I left the real Athens, where them Dawgs are, and went to the other one, with the round footballs. And there I found the Surrender Cobra, Archaic Greek edition. @hollyanderson.bsky.social is quite the classicist as it turns out. 750 BC

I reckon he did.
Pretty good. Loved what Gunner added as a number in the run game. Only question is whether he has that Stetson “grip it and rip it” gear in the passing game when you need to catch up

It’s hard to make predictions, especially about the future, but this was pretty prescient.
I continue to think people are inverting their predictions on LSU. The defense is going to be good. Possibly really good. The offense will likely be what holds them back.
NEW SUBSCRIBER SHOW out w/ @stevengodfrey.bsky.social.

It's the 2025 Time Capsule Show. I.e. it's the show where we make a bunch of predictions and then bury them. We will dig them up in January and see how we did.

Honestly, this is my #1 objection to yesterday’s decision. SCOTUS had many, many opportunities to curb universal injunctions against the Biden administration. For four years, it refused. Then, almost as soon as Trump returned to office, it changed the rules to take away universal injunctions. Why?
I’m curious why you think the six justices in the CASA majority allowed multiple universal injunctions against the Biden administration to stand, then abolished universal injunctions within six months of Trump’s return to office

Pure speculation, but possible that the admin's attack on the Library of Congress previews similar move against the Government Accountability Office (GAO)--also a leg branch agency w/ head (Comptroller General) appointed by WH. GAO has been more of a thorn in Trump's side, and a likely DOGE target.

Turning Qatar's Gifted 747 Into Air Force One Will Be Anything But Free
Trump rightly said only "a stupid person" would turn down the free Qatari jet, but turning it into Air Force One for a few years of service isn't realistic.

The crudeness of the message to one side, much more serious is that the Library of Congress is not part of the executive branch, or even an independent agency. What’s next, will Trump purport to fire Senator Warnock’s legislative director?
1/2 Just-dismissed Librarian of Congress, Dr. Carla Hayden, has a PhD from U Chicago, is in numerous scholarly societies, has wide acclaim. She is also first African-American to lead LoC.

The dismissal note did not say "Dear Dr. Hayden" or "Dear Madame Librarian" or even "Dear Carla."

blatant theft of an elected office. you will see more of this in the coming years until there are consequences for the people destroying our ability to choose our own leaders
Bombshell in North Carolina: the state's GOP-dominated Court of Appeals just sided with the GOP candidate in last year's supreme court race.

Their decision would toss roughly 60,000 ballots (!) that have been counted, & likely hand the election to GOP instead of incumbent Dem Justice who won it.
