New year, new running list of games I have completed. Will this be the year I actually keep up with it the whole time, or will I just forget and add 30 games in a few days span?

Last year's numbers: 65 games started/returned to, 17 "abandoned", - 48 finished (27 reviewed).

Diablo IV Trophy Progress Update:
I managed to hit Paragon 200 during lunch.
I made a new build that makes numbers go wheeee and whirrrr all over the screen so that's fun.

Starting 2026 gaming-wise, the way I ended: working on the Diablo IV Platinum trophy. I am currently at 17/26. I need to level each remaining class enough for their combat-related trophies, get 5 PVP kills, and acquire 10 Caches of Chaos. I want to finish this and then take a break until the DLC.

I'll have you know that I start taking notes on award names as soon as the year starts. It would be near impossible for @hananomaude.bsky.social and I to do a standard ranking as we rarely play more than a handful of the same games. Plus, this is so much more fun than all of the other awards.
Dear gamers, we're proud to announce:

THE 2025 GOTYEE AWARDS as presented by the GOAT of GOATS, the GOUDA BOI himself: Manny "Manchego" the GOTY goat with the greatest goatee in gaming

We guarantee these game awards won't be like any others you've seen...

I loathe making lists (back me up here @hananomaude.bsky.social), but here are my 10 favorite games from this year, in no order at all after the first one:

#45: The Good Old Days from Gravity Co., LTD.

I had to get one more game in for the year. This was a fun homage to the Goonies movies (and a pretty good sequel to the original Famicom game. It is an exploration-based metroidvania with optional combat that gets better every playthrough.

#44: Diablo IV - Vessel of Hatred
I picked this DLC up at launch last year but never played. With the announcement of the new DLC, I decided to jump back in. It took an hour or so to get acclimated to all the changes, but I enjoyed this extra content and am enjoying the new changes.

Explain your username.

My original username was gimpyjayy (broke my ankle in college/crutches for months).

A friend gifted me a game on Steam and the e-mail read, Dear [Redacted]...

I was forced to change and went with that. Changed it everywhere after because I actually thought it was clever.
Explain your username.

Stevil is an old college nickname that just sort of stuck.

I kind of have a dark sense of humor, that's also a bit silly.
And back when I was a film student that translated to my student films, scripts, and my RPG maker project. It was almost like a genre. 😆
Explain your username

Nothing really works well with my actual name. However, DBZ is a way I used to bond with my cousins in Mexico and my brother. I really loved Gohan and Videl, so I stuck with GreatSaiyagirl.

Ball X Pit
I decided to go back after my review and finish off the achievements. The last 2 characters were a bit of a grind (no spoilers, but if you know the order, you know it was just tedious to do). I'll put this aside for now, but I am super excited for the update launching next month.

Home from the gym, officially going to take the rest of the day to rest & game

It won’t totally heal the stress of last week, but it’s a good stat boost to handle the next leg of the marathon this week

THANK YOU to everyone who’s checked on me or even sent gifts, every single kind word has helped

@borderlands.2k.com hear me out here. Limited time/weekly events are great but that's not "end game." Enable those things for everyone that finished the campaign. Make "end game" content for max level/uvhm6 - arenas, a boss rush mode, repeatable missions with modifiers impacting the reward, etc.

#43: Deadzone Rogue
For me, this game has set the bar for all future FPS roguelites. Normally, when I roll credits, I experience feelings of delight at finishing and sadness that the journey has ended. Here, you receive a pop-up announcement stating that a new level will be added next year.
December 15, 2025 at 1:41 PM
This might be a hot take, but the Borderlands 4 raid boss is stupid. I did complete it on UVHM 6, but did we really need to fight an entire arena? I saw someone online called the fight Arena the Invincible. I can hold out hope for the story DLC, but both post-game content drops have come up short.

My top 5 played only includes 1 game I would even consider top 5 this year (BL4). I had 2 Platinum replays, a review/platinum grind, and at #4, my 6-year-old's re-re-replay of a game. Not counting World of Warcraft, I think this was the first year PC (Steam) overtook PlayStation for me.

Woohoo! The first raid boss arrives tomorrow in Borderlands 4!!
