America will blow up NATO, go to war with our European allies, become weaker, poorer and more isolated just because an old, dying vulgarian is angry he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize he doesn't deserve and he wants a big piece of land that doesn't belong to him and Republicans refuse to act.

If you're doing an NFL MVP graphic between Stafford and Maye and leave out rushing yardage, you're doing it wrong, ESPN.

Additionally, Maye's receiving corps is crap compared to Stafford's.

Trump letting Favre get away with it...

When we need to learn how to do something, we ask an expert or watch a YouTube video about it. Other countries have developed successful solutions to what ails us.
If there's one empirical insight I'd want everyone to understand about American politics, it's this:

America's problems are solved problems. Just not here.

What would change if the US simply matched the average of 31 peer democracies? Not Denmark or Norway. Just the middle of the pack. 🧵

If the Bears score, might be time to bring in Malik Willis. LaFleur opens up the playbook when he's in there.

Packers should bring in Malik Willis just to mess with the Bears.

This would be a great question to pose to the White House.

If you believe that federal officers can kill individuals who disobey their orders, does that mean you think the Capitol Police should have opened fire on January 6th?

Do you think Ashli Babbitt deserved to die and others should have too?
Also, by their own standards, the cops protecting the Capitol on Jan 6 should have opened fire all over.

Did Ben Johnson not watch the Ravens-Packers footage? If you run the ball every down, the Packers D can't stop you.

And I'm a Packers fan.

Yes!
They won't have the numbers to occupy the nation and force everyone to comply, and that's why they're engaged in such an aggressive show of force. They're hoping we all get cowed into submission and do their work of suppression ourselves.

Once again, no.

The mantra remains "fuck you, make me."

Trump bragging about his $400 million ballroom and getting up to admire the construction site as he meets with oil company executives looking to plunder Venezuela with money from US taxpayers basically sums up this entire admin perfectly.

@jayjaffe.bsky.social MLB radio this week was discussing Cole Hamels and how similar his career numbers were to Felix Hernandez; in fact, Hamels' stats could be considered slightly better. I saw you voted for both; how do you explain Felix having twice as many votes on revealed ballots so far?

Abolish the Trump presidency and everything it's done.
we fought, and I'm not kidding you can look it up, a whole revolution to stop shit like this
President Trump declared on Wednesday evening that his power as commander in chief is constrained only by his “own morality,” brushing aside international law and other checks on his ability to use military might to strike, invade or coerce nations around the world.

It’s genuinely wild that the United States spent decades building an elaborate rules-based international order which de facto cemented its permanent status as the dominant global hegemon, sustained by ideology rather than might, and now is just blowing it all up for literally no reason

Right.

If you want a good explanation of why the American system of government worked well enough for 200 years and then suddenly stopped, it's because Republicans in Congress suddenly started letting their partisan interests COMPLETELY override their institutional interests
a lot of problems wouldn't exist if we had a congress with even an ounce of self interest
Honestly insane they didn't brief the gang of eight until it was underway

One of the things I just want to caution folks about is that a lot of crazy untrue things get called into tip lines.

Reports from the FBI could be full of them and everything should be approached with care.

And the fact that one reported event might be false doesn’t mean unspeakable things didn’t
