The Israeli uprooted 10,000 olive trees in al-Mughayyir during a three-day siege of the Palestinian village. The Israeli army said uprooting the trees was meant to "deter" village residents and make them "pay a heavy price."

Israel wanted to punish a Palestinian village. So it destroyed 10,000 of its olive trees.

“At this point it's become impossible for me to maintain a relationship with Reuters given its role in justifying and enabling the systematic assassination of 245 journalists in Gaza. I owe my colleagues in Palestine at least this much, and so much more.” - Valerie Zink

If you take prescription pills, check if they are made by Teva. I just learned that one of my prescriptions is made in occupied Palestine by an izraeli company. You can ask your pharmacist about switching to a different manufacturer! #BoycottTeva

$1568 remaining!! This is a super urgent request from a community member that is due today. $5, $10, $20 goes a long way!

Recognizing the state of Palestine under their conditions, is the new calling for a ceasefire under their conditions. Moved on from the later pretty quickly, because it was always deceitful.

A Palestinian state, with no right of return, disarmed, recognized by the same nations aiding and abetting the genocide of Palestinians and theft of their land, is only a tool of colonization, imperialism, and repression of dissent.

Ultimately, this is murder.
The services and care for people who use substances have to be protected and expanded!!! This province is aligning with the national trend to criminalize and disappear substance users into forced 'treatment' or jail or death.

'We didn't see this coming,' says shelter operator dropped by province | CBC News
Out of the Cold, which abruptly lost its contract with the province to run two shelters in the Halifax area, says it was caught off guard and is left speculating about the reasons why.

No Cop City, No Cop World is officially out today :) it was a massive collective effort, not to give a definitive account of a movement that could never be fully captured in a book, but to document tactics tried, lessons learned, & successes & failures.

Always so important to remember that the only people counted are the ones through the health ministry the ustreal repeatedly targets and depleats. Glory to the martyrs. Free Palestine.

The ICJ granted the zionist state 6 month extension to present a defense against South Africa's case. 6 more months to commit genocide with less UN scrutiny. The ICJ has no teeth & doesn't give a fck about Palestinians. International law is here to facilitate western genocides.

I don't believe this has anything to do with the safety or care for these people, but everything to do w/ the amount of attn & backlash the gov is getting from these kidnapping/human trafficking (deportations) cases & trying to quell mass dissent & outrage. Pls see past this decision. Stay critical.
It's really extraordinary to get a 1 a.m. order from the U.S. Supreme Court on litigation that didn't even exist until 8 hours ago.

That suggests that (at least 7 of them) are taking this Constitutional threat seriously.
BREAKING: SCOTUS orders the government not to remove from the country, for the time being, any of the individuals slated for possible deportation to El Salvador. The vote is apparently 7-2, with Justices Thomas and Alito in dissent

If city council/planners actually planned for affordability, they’d ban mansions, not apartments. They’d have lot size maximums, not lot size minimums. They’d have higher fees per sq ft of mansion, not apartments. They’d charge the rich in mansions more, not everyone else in apartments.

Sounds like she's gonna propose cutting municipal JustFOOD spending because it's a provincial responsibility.

HRM has no problem with $603,000 for a tank they know is not needed, but $682,000 for justFOOD program passed with a tie. Pathetic to watch them try so hard to undermine the already low food security people have.
Happy the justFOOD program is going ahead.
Growing food in parks, urban orchard program, community garden plots, emergency food vendors, the food truck we've already bought would stop running. In short, Haligonians would go hungry.

Glory to the martyrs. Thank you for everything, Hossam Shbat & Mohammad Mansour.

Every journalist who turned away from Palestine to protect their bottomless ignorance & 'respectability' to a genocidal system are complicit in their murder. Long live the resistance. Free Palestine. 🇵🇸🕊️
Israel has just assassinated two Palestinian journalists. I learned about the assassination of Hossam Shabat from breaking news that interrupted the news of the assassination of Mohammad Mansour.
Hossam’s car was targeted by an Israeli missile.

A Councillor saying “I heard from hundreds of residents that were against this purchase. No one reached out in favour of this purchase,” and then vote to buy the cops their tank anyway gives one a comforting reassurance that Council is pretty much unchanging, regardless who fills the chairs.
