Can we all please stop calling RFK Jr a vaccine "skeptic"? A skeptic requires evidence, and will accept a claim if there is good evidence for it.

RFK Jr is a denier and a cynic. He denies huge amounts of evidence supporting vaccines. He cynically believes scientists are deliberately harming kids.

GM is soon going to remove Apple Carplay from its new cars. It'll replace it with GM software that requires a data plan subscription at a minimum of $10 a month.

One way to make sure I'll never buy a GM car as long as I live.

The New York Times likes to say Trump "has stretched the limits of his powers” and “tests the boundaries of the presidency.” But this is not a test or a stretching exercise. He’s a lawless politician building a dictatorship. Say it. 🧵 1/3

The US is now a competitive authoritarianism state, and has a short time to avoid becoming consolidated authoritarianism (which would take decades to reverse). This article lists some things that we need to make happen now to avoid that.

We know Republican politicians, the Supreme Court, many institutions and most of the mainstream media will let trump do whatever he wants. I find it disappointing and alarming that the military and the CIA don't seem able or willing to say no to to him either.

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

Katie Miller calling Stevie von Nosferatu a “sexual matador” isn’t the flex she thinks it is. I've seen a bullfight in Spain. A matador needs a five man team (3 on horseback) to soften up the bull first. A matador literally can’t perform without this opening gang having their go at the bull first.

It's hard to feel sympathy for Comey since he contributed to (caused?) Hillary's loss and therefore Trump. But this is the correct take 👇
I honestly don’t care about James Comey.

But I want to live in a democratic republic.

His indictment proves we live in a banana republic, where the autocrat personally orders indictments of his political enemies, and when his own officials refuse he finds new ones that will.

I wonder if Comey now regrets his decision in 2016 to re-open the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, and then publicize it although there was no requirement to do so.

If we're finally going to crack down about lying to Congress under oath, I think there are several Cabinet members and a few Supreme Court justices whose testimonies might need revisiting.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw: "This is about lying to Congress under oath, and Comey needs accountability for that. He doesn't get to just walk through the woods and write poetry and do other weird things and post on Instagram anymore. He's gonna actually have to face it."
