Could certainly use a large batch of used Trail Acorns, to repaint, from Trail Ranger Gary. Each one repainted means a saving of £5 to the Trail. #hadrianswall #followtheacorn

For my first post & first #AdoorableThursday of the year, here's the view from the reconstructed Roman villa at #Wroxeter: it looks out onto what was the forum and across the road to the bath house. You can just see the Wrekin in the distance. All the best for 2026! #RomanBritain #Shropshire

Looking east along the Military Way, in Hadrian's Wall mile 37. it was the supply road for Forts and the curtain Wall. The central section of the Trail follows the ups and downs of the Crags. It can be an easier route for tired walkers. #hadrianswall #followtheacorn

A building stone of the 1st Cohort of Tungrians found in the granary wall at Housesteads fort. The stone is upside down indicating it was reused here when the building was divided into two. The tungrians came from the area which now covers east Belgium. #RIB3326 #hadrianswall #archaeology
