Ali France may be a person with a declared/visible disability in the HoR, but she isn't the first. Plenty of people have disabilities without them being known. Linda Burney had to blow into a kazoo to speak well. Multiple MPs have had Cancer while sitting. Disability is not always visible #auspol

I don't get why we need a special definition of racism when it comes to Jewish people. No other religion gets singled out. We don't have a separate law or regulation covering Catholicism, there's no special envoy dictating whether we can say stuff about the pope.

Any action taken by the government to combat antisemitism should equally be taken to combat anti-First Nations sentiment. Cripple the schools and universities that don't adequately support First Nations kids. Educate Australians with Truth Telling. Prosecute racist cops who abuse power etc #auspol

The West Australian Labor premier, Roger Cook, has encouraged his federal counterparts to consider a gas reserve on the east coast as it mulls a regulatory overhaul to shore up supply and contain prices.
Cook said WA’s gas reservation policy, which requires offshore producers set aside 15% of supplies for local users, has resulted in cheaper gas for households and business since it was introduced in 2006.
