Freezing tax bands is an ingenious way to tax working people more, especially the poorer! All while the richest barely notice a proportional change in what they pay. When will this Tory government drop its silly 'red' branding and ditch thon rose for a blue tree?

Extremely niche #belfast centric #urbanplanning #publicTransport post. Wouldn't Metro 9 buses make more sense if, instead of following the same gridlock route up the Dublin Road, they started (or called at) Grand Central, then went up straight up Sandy Row to Lisburn Road.

Kind of rare for the Tories to "formally declare" they're bribed by the fossil fuel lobby. Nice to see any belief amongst deluded greenish-one-nation-tories supports suffocated. At this stage though, I reckon they like being choked. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Farage on a doom loop on the BBC now. Every other article is about Reform. I just can’t listen to it anymore. Bye bye BBC radio.

Good God...a policy announcement from ReformUK is the headline story on BBC Lunchtime News AGAIN. When will the government get to grips on the blatant news bias? Step up Ed Davey, Stephen Flynn and other leaders...

BBC reckons the biggest story in the world is the imagination of Farage. Don't think there's been a day that a Reform story hasn't been on its front page in weeks. It is the joint 7th largest party by MPs. It always gave them unfair coverage but recently the bias has levelled up extraordinarily.

One day @monzo.com encourages me to invest in evil incarnate (BlackRock - who I had the displeasure of having to work with once), the next they lower my savings rate. That free sausage roll is tasting a bit off.

Manchester airport continues to has the slowest worst designed security of any airport in UK. Along with the loudest staff whose main job appears to be to bark at people rather than process them.

I'd like to offer a formal apology regarding the language used in this recent post. It should of said: 'to appease' rather than 'tib'. A simple typo, please forgive me, don't forgive this gobshite government.
Fuck right off. What a despicable country. I've lost all respect for Cooper and Starmer. You don't change the rules half way through tib appease the racist cunt in the corner.

After due consideration, having weighed up the relevant evidence, assessed the balance of arguments and gamed the likely implications, I have reached the conclusion that Keir Starmer can fuck off from a great height.

When will Starmer learn that no matter how good his Nigel Farage impression gets, it won't save him from wipeout at the hands of Reform? Here's another idea - how about doing the work that's needed to actually make people's lives better? 🧵

Labour immigration policy is racist unpractical nonsense. Care workers? We don't have enough already, training takes time. The best care workers are those with years of experience and training that we don't provide, a plan to replace immigrants with British novices? Best not get sick or old.

I really don't understand the logic behind this, all it does is encourage land banking. If you own a vacant property and are doing nothing with it, especially during a housing crisis, you should be penalised, not rewarded. #Belfast

The Empire in Belfast is charging £7 a pint. It's been on the pricier side for a while but that feels like taking the piss. Granted it was a Blue Moon, maybe Guinness or Harp are cheaper, but still. £7. It's significantly more than surrounding bars, they need to catch themselves on.

We are proud to be one of 136 organisations who signed this letter calling on Keir Starmer to protect and welcome refugees.
We brought over 130 organisations together to call for the end to the racist rhetoric and demonising language of the past.

The Prime Minster must unite our communities for a different way forward.

We need a fair new plan for refugees.
