If compassion cost reduce the cost of asylum by 40%, how can we justify any other approach?

“People are sick of them appeasing the far right" say the Public and Commercial Services Union.

"A fair and humane system, which is what we’re proposing, would boost growth and has to be better than whipping up hatred and division.”

What's your alternative? people say. Well here is one: constructive and careful thinking about how to make the system work well for everyone.
Britain’s asylum system is broken - uncaring, chaotic & costly. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

There is a massive power in visibility.

On the first weekend of December, we’re asking you to put up a poster to show your solidarity with refugees.

In your home, in your workplace, in your place of worship, anywhere your community gathers.

The government have changed the rules so that anyone arriving in the UK “irregularly” will never be allowed British citizenship.

But British citizenship saved the Bishop of Chelmsford's life.

Now she's calling for Parliament to reverse the unjust ban.

You’ve got £9.95 to last you the whole week… what’s your plan?

This impossible choice is played out in asylum hotels. Whilst people await a decision on their claim, they are banned from working & receive just £9.95 for clothes, travel, data & more.

This is not luxury. This is a hellish limbo.
