ok so! Death Note: The Musical is maybe one of the best adaptations of Dwath Note. It doesn't do the thing where it pretends to be smart when really it's just overcomplicated. The music itself is incredible of course, and one of my favourite things about the musical is its portrayal of Rem. (1/15)

Will never forget back when I was living in Japan where my coworker, a very nice elderly man, said "I always vote for the communists. They have some rather good ideas." in English. And just the politeness of that phrasing is so funny to me that I continue to use it whenever I'm asked about socialism
