Left, liberal, progressive, Democrat, radical, socialist, punk, comrade, furry, I don’t give a fuck what you call yourself as long as you’d kick a fascist in the shins given the chance.
I've always left and liberal interchangeably to describe myself and it annoyed me when some aggro internet dweebs gave them specific meanings and decided one was a pejorative. There's so many people whose ideology is solidly leftist who call themselves liberal because they're not terminally online
The people railing about Cowardly Liberals right now really don’t seem to understand how I bet at least 90% of the people who show up to protest would self-identify as if you asked them about their political beliefs

HOLY SHIT. They found the genes for fibromyalgia - and it's *not* autoimmune, it's the central nervous system. It's very cool to see some progress made on the thing that's ruined my life since late teenage years!
Medical Republic: 'Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint'

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint - Medical Republic

I’m going a different route and letting predictive text tell me.

“My least woke opinion is” I don’t like the word salad.

Actually that’s pretty accurate.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

God, it’s so easy. It’s RIGHT THERE. Say that “James Bond” is an alias given to a number of agents over the years.
Spoiler: it’s because he died. The writers of a franchise whose main character has been played by seven actors across sixty years think they have to come up with a plot explanation for the character coming back after dying in the previous movie. radaronline.com/p/james-bond...

Bond writers are now racking their brain, trying to move forward with the franchise after the last film's wild twist.

Today an AI bot on Tinder compared me to Thoreau so I fed it a bunch of stuff about Thoreau’s actual life and why he sucked. This timeline is super weird.

I would like a creative side gig. I can think of all kinds of things. I think my problem is that I don’t know what there is DEMAND for. So many artsy markets are oversaturated right now.

Put in a grocery order. The ground cardamom was out of stock. The shopper suggested the same brand … BUT THYME INSTEAD. FFS, why would the brand be the deciding factor in substitution???

Last time, @sarahgailey.bsky.social posted something like “It works no matter the word order! Big boat stuck! Big stuck boat! Boat big stuck! Boat stuck big! Stuck big boat! Stuck boat big!” And now I happily cheer that whenever a big stuck boat is stuck big.
Ship stuck in the Detroit. Apparently. Again.

Today I got so mad I went against all my natural non-cooking inclinations and made a giant pot of soup. Made broth, added lamb and onions and carrots, spiced with rosemary and lemon pepper, tempered some cream and added that in at the end. I was so furious I spontaneously manifested a skill.

Usually it takes a lot to send me off into the rafters. Found out last night that one surefire way to do it is for a house guest (remaining unnamed) to run through all my ibuprofen in a week, not tell me, and leave the empty bottle for me to find out, you know, WHEN I NEED SOME.
