Fascinating StepUp trial looking at tx male partners for BV w/topical clinda & oral metronidazole in conjunction w/ tx female patients. Reduced recurrence rate from 63% to 35% by 12 wks.

We were always taught BV is not an STD, but perhaps it should be considered as such.

You can start with BLINGIII and BALANCE etc, but this stewardship paper gets my vote. Real-world study looking at de-escalation in terms of spectrum score, demonstrating that narrowed spectrum at 72 hours reduces AMR. We knew, but now we have proof.
