🔥 Why does Russia keep citing these non-existent “Alaska agreements”?

Is the Kremlin delusional?

👉 Or is Moscow signaling that Trump, in Alaska, agreed to divide Ukraine 🇺🇦, and now is reminding Washington to force territorial concessions?

Facebook, as site made so that Mark could goon on the women in his University, suddenly cares about PII?
NEW: Instagram, Threads, and Facebook are blocking links to ICE List, which lists thousands of what it says are DHS employees; a Meta spokesperson claims it's because the site violated a policy about soliciting PII. @davidgilbert.bsky.social has the scoop:
Meta Is Blocking Users From Sharing Website Listing ICE Agents
Users of Facebook, Instagram, and Threads can no longer share links to ICE List, a website listing what it claims are the names of thousands of DHS employees.

Onze overheid in Amerikaanse handen? Slecht idee! Zeker met Trump in het Witte Huis willen we geen onderdeel zijn van geopolitieke spelletjes.

Dus: andere keuzes maken!

I think that it's part of the uniform for kiddy fiddlers, popularised by Michael Jackson.
I assume he's wearing a single glove to cover up the massive bruise all over his left hand?
Q: Do you agree with the assessment from some of your own officials that Alex Pretti is a domestic terrorist or assassin?

TRUMP: Well, I haven't heard that, but he certainly shouldn't have been carrying a gun. I don't like that he had a gun.

In 2025, the US gave Ukraine only $1 billion in military support and that was a remnant from the Biden era.
Trump's US gives absolutely nothing to Ukraine because Trump supports Putin.

Why is "bitch" a problem whilst "dick" isn't? Or the "c-word" which is analogous in the English speaking world but which causes American speakers to react as if you're summoning the devil.
a few people have called me out for using the word because it's female-coded, but i've reclaimed it to lob at small men who make the world worse. and i feel fine about it.
My personal policy of "never call a human 'bitch' no matter how nasty they are" has a giant exception for individuals designated as such by @marisakabas.bsky.social

Just realised that this year is the Halo 25th anniversary. One of the best games every released.

It completely dominated PC FPS on release including Counter Strike and Half Life 2. It turned me from a PC FPS player to a console FPS player.

Yet in the C# world we don't really have the major issues experienced by Python (who just ignore the issue) and JavaScript/TypeScript (who just make bad choices).

We have a centralisation issue (tools, repository, governance) but it kind of just works.

I followed loads of tech people on Twitter and for the first two weeks of this year 95% of my feed was extremely rich people complaining about a potential wealth tax.

I was late to hearing about the whole posting CSAM thing because my Twitter was tech + security.

It was very Marie Antoinette.
I think it's interesting that just hours ahead of @theverge.com reporting that OpenAI's president has donated $25 million to Trump that Katie Miller was over on Twitter falsely trying to clam that actually, the AI companies are biased against conservatives (the opposite of reality).

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Anyone surprised by this story has been living in a fantasy world. Since Jan 2025, the Trump administration has been using lots of different tactics to force Ukraine to commit strategic suicide. This is just the latest.
The real story is that people have not grasped this reality.

Russian warships begin escorting their illegal oil tankers, a clear escalation.

My take is simple;
Take the tankers anyway. Ignore the Russian ships, and force the Russians to possibly shoot first. If the Russians shoot, their ships are sunk.

Gloves off.

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

We have it here in The Netherlands, it's called "erfpacht". From my time working at the Cadaster here in NL, in the vast majority of cases the land was owned by the state/council. It's not very common for private entities to do it though AFAIK.
Ground rent cap is good news (though peppercorn would be better straight away). Also welcome is promised abolition of new leasehold properties. Better still would be the outright abolition of leasehold altogether, a feudal anachronism virtually unique to England and Wales.
