We’re being very deliberate and taking this very slow. Bodily we’re not exactly young and I need to be careful so nobody else has to deal with the injuries. So far just learning to balance on it on the carpet. Then graduate to a parking lot this weekend.

I think this is the best advice I've ever seen and it can apply to sooo many things. "Don't let being afraid stop you! Be playful!"
Watching a skateboard video where the answer to "how do I get over the fear aspect?" is answered with "Be playful," and it's so cool to see advice that I've given in art and animation having commonality with this very different skillset
