Trudeau-era foreign policy was feminist only in the neoliberal sense where empowerment came through capital and individualist “boot-straps” mentality. Nothing was prioritized in changing the system for women as a class. Carney decided even that was too much.

No more feminist foreign policy, Carney says
Prime Minister, who made the comments at the G20 summit in Johannesburg, has placed less emphasis on feminist policies than the Trudeau government

Weird how I never saw Liberal supporters call Trudeau’s “feminist” policies out as hollow when he was in power. Only when Carney gets rid of it did it turn out to be useless. Could almost guarantee these people thought “Well it’s better than nothing” when that was the line.

Absolutely cannot wait to bust down the doors for a drink made by a company whose unionized workers are on strike in a store that doesn’t want to hire minorities anymore.
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

As Carney talks about ordinary Canadians having to make “sacrifices” in this budget, bear in mind that one of his first acts as PM was to cut the capital gains tax rate, a move which disproportionately benefits the wealthy.

ANALYSIS | Carney's talk of 'sacrifices' suggests Canadians could soon face those tough choices | CBC News
It remains unclear exactly what those sacrifices will be or how they will be distributed. But the mere mention of sacrifices makes clear that Canadians are about to be faced with some real choices abo...

Well, the list of books being banned from EPSB is appalling. And it's very likely that an author on this list will get their other works pulled too, especially in the absence of teacher librarians.

There are books on this list that changed my life. This is what the UCP is taking away from kids.

TOLD YA.
Nearly all federal funds for gender equality could disappear in the next two years.

If the funding isn't renewed, Canada's Department for Women and Gender Equality could see its budget shrink by more than 80%.

CUPE had to set up food banks 🍎 in their offices because Air Canada pays their flight attendants so little. Remember this forever: that Mark Carney wants to jail starving people after Air Canada purchased $500M in stock buy-backs and the CEO makes $12M. #cdnpoli
Air Canada strike:

“We’re going to stay committed to making sure that those workers can do the job that they love doing and actually be able to afford a roof over their heads, to afford caring for their families,” CUPE president just said.

“If it means folks like me going to jail, then so be it.”

This is the response we received from Carney and his team. If you need fodder for your complaint letters to them about cuts to WAGE!

I'm also struck by Carney's decision to issue such a loud reminder of the Nova massacre when it's clearly being exploited to justify the bombardment and mass starvation of Palestinians happening RIGHT NOW -- something he has yet to take concrete action against.

Why now?

It takes very little time to realize that "Trade Barrier" is a euphamism for "public service" or "democratic expression of a way of doing things."

If we just put Loblaw in charge, there'd be no barriers to moving food across Canada!
