NGL at one point during the day I wasn't sure I had the spoons to go to the Midsumma festival program launch, but I had great company and we had a lovely evening and I even got excited - about queer art, queer joy, and queer community 💓💜💙
I went to the midsumma program launch last night. Drank some bubbles, made a new instagram friend, got asked to design a poster and took a cute selfie with @quietlylivid.bsky.social, who took me there as her plus 1. Very productive evening 💖

Today, the Vic Upper House will debate our motion to decriminalise cannabis as a simple and modest step towards a legal market.

We’re wearing ‘Labour for cannabis reform’ t-shirts to remind the government that their own members have voted for change.

I understand crime in Melbourne. ‘Adult time’ laws will only harm your friends and family
I’m the director of what is probably the largest criminal law firm in Victoria. Yes, youth crime is a staggering problem, but the Allan government’s new jail laws will make us less safe.

It's no accident that Nazis rallied in Sydney. Police waved them through — and now Minns wants to punish us all
The existing law in NSW is more than adequate to have avoided the images of Nazis outside state parliament over the weekend.
