I’m a bit late to this, but this is quite the essay from the CEO of Anthropic Dario Amodei on how humanity is in peril at the hands of AI. A technological agent revolution that no-one seems to fully understand, let alone control. Keep on rockin’ in the free world…as long as you can.

So grateful for @mrdtjames.bsky.social and his clear-eyed, lyrical writing. Not interested in a slide into 1950s repression and homogeneity. A fantastic read.
Taylor’s ascent to the Liberal leadership, and Abbott’s return spruiking “Australian values” & a 1950s-style immigration policy, push us further toward exclusion. This isn’t nostalgia. It’s a narrowing. A nationalism that casts multiculturalism as a mistake and diversity as a threat. It has a name.

Great article from Daniel 👇
So, the Libs are also using immigrants as the excuse. We all come from immigrants unless we are First Nations people. Let’s not go further down the racist path, but embrace our diversity. It doesn’t take anything away, but gives back so much in return.
