I am playing Aloft and can I just say that I love how many indie games now cater to my intense need to be a weird little guy building a magic house?

Sandman and Red Labyrinth still hanging in there.🌱

(I've been cheating and moving a few dahlias in and out of the garage on frosty nights.)

Final planting day for fall.🌱
Two pounds of Leningrad hardneck yielded 75 cloves. Also planted 10 nectaroscordum to lead off the cut flower bed and 10 drumstick alliums to spruce up the corner of the rosebed.

five days and a few hours to go and at this point I'm just gonna be shameless: if you can help signal-boost this thing, I'd be grateful. I've done very well through my own channels, but haven't had much luck breaking out beyond them.

For the original Godzilla roar, Ifukube borrowed a double bass from the Japan Art University's music dept and created the sound by loosening the strings and rubbing them with a leather glove. The sound was recorded and played at a reduced speed.

The city has finally gotten around to fixing the curb where they took out the 100 y.o. ash tree last year. This is some of the roots from the old beast.🌱

The most recent absolutely perfect book I've read was The River Has Roots by @amalelmohtar.com. Without checking actual dates, the other one that comes to mind is The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez.
I recently read and loved We Speak Through the Mountain by @premeemohamed.com, Never Say You Can't Survive by @charliejane.bsky.social, and The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. Make your life better and read them all.
Absolutely right. This is why we constantly say that if you love a book/author please please please tell people about it.

Nearly got the fall planting finished today. Daylilies, crocuses, and bluebells put in their holes. I had to dig a trench for some tulips (I cover them with a buried layer of chicken wire to thwart the squirrels), so I picked up a clearance bag of 45 mixed double daffodils to toss in with them.🌱
