I'm also doing that a lot. I started to believe this "super productivity" that we force into our lives does much more damage to our wellbeing than we previously thought

Also, what are we saving all that time for? Endless scrolling on social media slop?
Lately I've been rejecting "productivity culture" for "I do what I want" culture. I don't need a new journaling system or a calendar app. I don't want to sell my paintings. I don't want a content schedule. The world gets what I have to give.

You're welcome 🫶

Okay, for the folks who asked: here's the majority AI view, writing up the reasonable, thoughtful view on AI that the vast majority of people in tech hold, that gets overshadowed by the bluster and hype of the tycoons trying to shill their nonsense. anildash.com/2025/10/17/t... Please share!

It would be nice if people started tagging AI content on Bluesky so I could easily block it.

Right now there's no way other then unfollowing the person

I'll never, ever, understand why people post important stuff on Medium

That thing is freaking inaccessible!! Did everyone already forgot about the concept of "open web"?

I think surfing might be the Dark Souls of sports. You keep failing failing and failing, but at each step going a little further, and just want to keep going back and trying again and again

(or perhaps more like Elden Ring, since there's almost no fall damage)

Can someone at @expo.bsky.social (or @expo.dev) help me with EAS workflows? I cannot find a proper support channel on the website

My Maestro tests are failing because my app requires Google Play Services. Is there a way to configure the emulator to use one that supports it?

As a programmer, I feel extremely privileged by all the perks we have: flexibility, great salary, etc

But nothing motives me more than app reviews and seeing people recognizing the effort we put on it

I'm super happy how we moved from having mostly 1 star reviews to having mostly 4 star reviews

I was wondering about all those people vibe coding and vibe desiging. If your product is so simple it can be made with AI tools (which usually fail spetacularly for complex and novel things), what's the point of it anyway?

I think AI will replace the need of CRUD UI altogether

Just out of curiosity, does this new trend of using AI to draw people like Studio Ghibli became popular just to piss off Miyazaki?

It seems too big of a coincidence suddenly everyone doing exactly what he hated about it

I finally got a reason to use CADisplayLink and it really delivered. Had an issue with Google Maps which have wonky animations if you update it too frequently, since it gives you no control over animations, and it doesn't interpolate properly new properties

Is there a way to have something like this on VSCode and React native? It's quite cumbersome having to open the websites of libs to find the documentation
February 19, 2025 at 10:19 AM
React Native is SO FRUSTRATING sometimes. I was getting used to not having a working step by step debugging (ok it does work now, but source maps are always wrong, so it stops on the wrong place)

Now I cannot use the Memory Profiling :(

Anyone here knows how to solve this "Error: BFS failed."?

Me, an idiot: “don’t worry about the UI detail on the center of this view, it only shows below the finger when dragging, so users will only see the borders around it”

Guess which screenshot the marketing team chose to promote the feature? 😅

Flashlight from BAM and probably @almouro.bsky.social is a fantastic tool! It will help a lot on our performance profiling

Only problem is, pronouncing Flashlight is a nightmare for us Brazilians. I'm super afraid of said the name out loud to my boss and sound like "that other similar word"
