CALLING ALL NC PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYEES!!!

@wearencae.bsky.social needs YOU. Every single one of you is important, valuable, and necessary for this movement!

Even in states with limited or no collective bargaining rights, joining a union strengthens educators' voices, enabling them to fight for better pay, improved working conditions, and stronger public schools.
It would be utterly absurd for Democrat leaders to cave now. They cannot spend all this time talking about how unpredictable and unprecedented the GOP and Trump Admin are behaving to then cave for a promise from them.

Today, there is an old man out there yelling about how Tylenol gave his grandkid autism while an extensive model train collection sits in his basement.

Jubilee is why that fascist kid is able to fundraise $20k+ and they’re wholly responsible for platforming and normalizing fascism and have been for awhile

I posted on Tik Tok that 💩ing on victims of natural disasters because they live in “Republican” states makes you just like the alt-right MAGA people you claim to hate and man it made some white ladies mad 🥴

What we’re seeing in Texas is what we saw in West Virginia is what we saw in Missouri is what we saw Tennessee is what we saw in North Carolina….

This is going to keep happening and it’s going to get worse, especially if we continue to ignore climate change.

Thank you to everyone who voted for this resolution. Standing against genocide is always the right choice ❤️

My English professor from college and I still follow each other of Instagram and she just liked my story of a post that says “if you don’t have anything gay to say don’t say anything at all” and I just love that icon of a woman 🥰

woke up remembering zohran won the democratic primary for nyc mayor like scrooge on christmas morning.
“you there! what day is it?”
“why, it’s the day after the primary election.”
“who won?”
“zohran, of course.”
“so it DID happen!” *clasps hands joyfully* “fetch me a ham!”

(it’s almost like having a platform that ACTUALLY speaks to the majority of voters is a successful campaign strategy)

If you’re getting most of your politics and public policy takes from straight white men then I think you should take this moment in history to seriously reevaluate

President Trump & Congressional leaders want to take away health insurance and food assistance from millions of NCians, including lawfully residing immigrants.

We believe everyone should receive the services they need to thrive, regardless of birthplace.

If it is the official position of DHS that the Dodger Stadium crew wasn't them, then MAYBE they might want to urgently figure out who the imposters were and have a policy where ICE shows consistent name badges, uniforms and ID
It is the official position of ICE that this very real event that did, in fact, happen was not them.

Vigilantism is worse. It would be nice if federal agents had means to identify themselves as legitimate law enforcement.

absolutely wild to see some self-proclaimed progressives talk crap about Mamdani as if he isn’t CLEARLY the best candidate in the race
June 19, 2025 at 1:53 PM
It’s genuinely wild to watch NC republicans freak out about a photo posted by a Democrat legislator when they doubled down their endorsement of a candidate who, with her OWN WORDS, called for the public execution of multiple elected leaders including President Obama.

Miss me with your faux outrage!

You know your relative has fallen off the Christian nationalism cliff when they start arguing that Jesus would support violent mass deportations 🥴
June 10, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Seeing takes like this from leaders who are supposed to be our “most left” is wildly disappointing.

While MLK Jr’s non-violent protests played an important role in the Civil Rights Movement, “violent” actions by other Black liberation movements were (at least) equally as important.

Meanwhile, as Liz Schlemmer reports, Wake County Schools has a budget hole the same size as the tax funds those private schools received.

Wake County private schools got $57M in state funds this year. What does that mean for schools?
