Cursor seems like a major safety issue to me. Particularly around hot-reloaded code. It will edit things without your permission, save them to disk and only then ask you if you want to undo the changes it already made. Your entire system could crash before you can hit the undo. Or worse.

Just to see what would happen, I filtered all the Members Only, Members First and Premier videos that you can't actually watch along with the silliness that are mixes, and the new AI auto-dubbed nonsense. There are, on average, only 6 actual videos left on the homepage.

This is major. As a reminder, DOGE stormed the USIP building in March with the help of DC Metro Police who were originally called there by building employees. Even tho, USIP owned the building, DOGE just…took it. Background: www.thehandbasket.co/p/us-institu...
JUST IN: Judge Howell rules that the Trump/DOGE takeover of the U.S. Institute of Peace was illegal and should be treated as null and void.

There are a lot of things Republicans want but that will never actually become law.

This stuff is very real. This is part of the tax cut/Medicaid cut/food stamps cut bill.

It’s filibuster-proof so can be enacted even with all Democrats voting no.
Text for both the Oversight and Financial Services parts of the filibuster-proof reconciliation bill are out.

Republicans are trying to cut CFPB by 58%.

CFPB protects consumers and has directly returned over $20 billion to consumers already and saved them from significantly more in avoided costs.

Reinforcing once again the difference between being "pro-birth" and being "pro-child"
Trump has indefinitely withdrawn federal funding for:
• Investigating child sexual abuse and internet crimes against kids;
• Responding to reports of missing children;
• Preventing youth violence

The Trump Administration’s War on Children
The administration is quietly putting America’s children at risk by cutting funds and manpower for investigating child abuse, enforcing child support payments, providing child care and much more.

There is an odd lack of analysis around this story. Trump paid Bukele to hold these people. Is Bukele stabbing Trump in the back or was this part of the plan between them all along? The latter seems unlikely since it'd probably enable many to return to the US.
