I have spent the last month using Kagi instead of Google for search. You have to pay, but it is such a better search experience. I get webpage results instead of just AI goop and adverts! It's very nice to have a search provider where I am the customer, not the product.

To be fair, the UK economy was in a state long before Brexit. Much of the EU economy is in a state. A hard restructuring and repositioning of British capitalism is one of the things the right hoped to achieve by Brexit. They failed. Equally, the EU would extract a very painful price for re-entry.
