The Trump admin hasn't lied about Doge rebates. They are still distributing 20% of the savings Doge generated to Americans. The reality is just that Doge cost more money than it saved, so Americans will get a bill rather than a check. They're extracting these charges from Americans through tariffs.

In Chicago, a woman was driving to get coffee when a DHS vehicle fleeing an angry crowd crashed into her car. Armed agents jumped out of the vehicle, yanked her door open, pulled her by the legs out of her car at gunpoint, held her incommunicado for hours, then released her with no charges.

Beyond DHS openly defying court orders this looks to be another case where they have abducted, imprisoned and deported an actual US citizen. Disgusting actions that make a mockery of our Constitution.
Souvannarath is likely a citizen, ICE kidnapped him, he filed habeas, a judge ordered he not be deported, and *the next day* DHS deported him.
DHS told the press they didn't get the order, which is undoubtedly a lie and will be perjury when they say it to the court.

Maaaaan, this. So much this. Every time there's any kind of actual in-depth survey we find that the American people are *abysmally* ignorant about even the most basic political facts, but the pundit class just immediately forgets & proceeds with political analysis based on subtle policy differences.
Feels like so many of our convos are revolving about how voters respond to what politicians are doing, or what parties’ positions on issues are, without much actual empirical sense of what they actually know about those topics.
