He delivers. A spectacular performance by the Canadian in his Olympic debut.

A season’s best score of 92.99. What an Olympic debut.

BRONZE FOR CANADA 🇨🇦

Valerie Maltais, in her 5th Olympics, wins bronze for Canada in the 3000m final.

It’s her first individual medal in long track speed skating. And it’s Canada’s first medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

If the U.S. government can pay ICE agents $50,000 signing bonuses and offer each one up to &60,000 on student loan forgiveness, then they had the money all along to offer healthcare and reduce grocery costs for every American…and simply chose not to.

It’s not immigrants making your lives harder.

A little detour from our usual figure skating fare, Forbes just put out a story about the expense of costumes - it's really something we often take for granted, but it's a huge part of the sport (and of a skater's expenses)

Olympic Figure Skating Costumes Aren’t Cheap. Just Ask The Designers.
An outfit that properly balances performance and beauty can take 150 hours to dye, paint, cut and sew, pushing prices as high as $8,000 for the athletes taking the ice in Milan.

While the New Mexico Department of Health said it cannot pinpoint the baby's exact cause of death, officials believe it could have been linked to the mother drinking raw milk during pregnancy.

the $75 million Jeff Bezos set on fire for that Melania propaganda piece could have funded most independent newsrooms for literally decades
always bears repeating that this is NOT a financial decision. jeff bezos is worth over 250 billion dollars. he can afford to lose many millions and never even notice it. this is, at its core, a political and personal decision by bezos to destroy the post
WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Post says one-third of its staff across all departments, not just the newsroom, is being laid off.

This whole thing where billionaires snap up media properties so they can run them into the ground to make it harder for people to call them and their cronies to account is extremely obvious and very tiresome. It also limits our access to largr information about culture and the world, also by design.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.
