On Jelly’s walk today, we met a cat who parked itself on the sidewalk. Jelly was so nice and polite, and the cat waited until he got close and swatted him. Fucker drew blood. It’s lucky that I didn’t climb up the tree after it.

Lest we forget. My grandpa served in WWII. It’s how how he met my Scottish grandmother. His brother Clare also served, but was shot down over Germany in either 1943 or 1944.

The face of an arsehole who decided to steal a pound of butter out of the butter dish while we were out today. He ‘buried’ it in the corner of our couch, using a couch cushion, plus two brand new books and a magazine as cover for his butter treasure. He’s lucky he’s cute.

We are huge fans of chestnuts, so I made a creamy chestnut soup tonight. And since we are into cozy weather, I also whipped up a batch of caribou (old French Canadian drink).

We lost Beckett last week & by Sunday we realized we need a dog. I need someone furry and cute to smother with love (besides Ray).
Everyone meet Jelly Bean. We created a list of things we’d like in our next dog: young, healthy and female. So of course we ended up with a middle aged, arthritic boy.
