How are we so good at ignoring everything in our religious texts that's about us and finding everything that's about gatekeeping?

I don't get how the Bible literalist can read all of Leviticus and not get anything about restitution, atonement, or dare I say reparations! How has anyone mined all of the gay stuff from the Bible and missed all of the parts about personal responsibility?

"Prove you matter"= eugenics.
This is why we should never debate the worth of another person

We all have value just for being ourselves

It’s not tied to our job, or health status or our economic contribution

Saying that someone must prove they “matter” to get Medicaid is blatant eugenics

Disabled people aren’t expendable!
Dr. Oz Says People Will Receive Medicaid If They Can ‘Prove That They Matter’
He continues to defend Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” by claiming that there will be no Medicaid cuts.

Every time you normalize the death of a person with comorbidities, you normalize ableism and eugenics. We’re all vulnerable to disability and health issues. Normalizing the deaths of high risk people is ignoring your own mortality. You can’t ‘other’ someone without ‘othering’ yourself.

Science friends! I’m crowdsourcing recs.

I’ve been inspired by @sarahmackattack.bsky.social to make a little science library on my street.

What zines/pamphlets/other things should I put in it?

Free/low cost ideas preferred! Especially appreciative of links to zines I can print out.
