again, the issue seems to be that to confront trump, Democrats would have to stand up for trans ppl and immigrants, and they are determined not to do that because they think the key to victory is the fascist vote.
The fact that Democratic leadership cannot solve the trivially simple political puzzle of "What to do when the opposition is setting the country on fire" is genuinely more discouraging than Trump setting the country on fire.
