Cowardice, failure to lead on a clear issue. Mistreatment, abuse of children, torture, unjustified kidnapping and deportation of citizens, invasion of churches ... how is speaking against that, and naming perps, "partisan"? This is why so many Catholics ignore the USCCB.

The left-liberal orientation of college grads is a selection effect: left-liberals are more likely to go to college, and more likely to choose social sciences and humanities.
Studying social sciences & humanities makes students more left-leaning, controlling for initial views & major preference, driven by cultural views. Implies that if all students majored in business, college–noncollege ideological gap would shrink by 1/3
