Still facing this and waiting to start the new job, they call me every day and threaten to send it to collectors until I cry and beg them not to, then "soften by trying to convince me that it isn't that bad, I just need to sell some assets or transfer funds, things I don't have any of.

For the record, folks, Dan here is blatantly lying. Absolutely no one knew about the CSEM before my former friend's arrest, not even his own wife. All I ever defended him from was an unrelated accusation that he'd blacklisted someone from the animation industry.
