Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating.

This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens.

(Even better: Tesla will hate this)
Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe
Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.

True story: when my older boys were little, they both got whooping cough even though they were vaccinated. It was bad. We asked the pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated. They would’ve died, he said.

In the USA, they're painting over the FBI values of integrity, fairness, compassion, and diversity. In the UK, they painted over Mickey Mouse, in case he comforted scared children. It's the same cruelty and ideology fuelled destruction.

If your boss or company tells you to do something unethical: don't say yes. Make them write it down.
If they won't put it in writing yourself. Send an email (bcc yourself?): "Following our conversation on x date at x time regarding x, I am writing to clarify your directives. According to my notes, you instructed me to A, B, and C. If any of this is incorrect, please advise. I have some concerns."

All this administration does is put every single nonprofit and institution into a trolley problem of either sacrificing trans people or hurting everyone else by eliminating federal funding.

It won't end with us. They'll do this with every minority until it's only white men who are left.

I'm not easily shocked, but the sight of individuals cheering on the richest man in the world as he takes away vital aid to the most desperate people on this Earth has shocked me.

There are good people. There are bad people. Then there's Elon Musk and his empathy devoid flesh failure followers.

Remember the Cass Report, which supposedly "followed the science" on trans kids health? The huge York University epidemiology study on which it was based has finally been published, and it contradicts many of the report's conclusions. By @gidmk.bsky.social.

I hope people are able to link this to what Nazis did when they targeted the Institute for Sexual Science
The CDC is removing data sets that researchers widely rely upon because they include information on sexual orientation and gender identity. “It feels like they’re trying to will us out of existence,” one researcher tells @theresagaff.bsky.social:

The things I find myself blocking from the Discover feed on here are so strange.

I have no problem with either Scottish Independence or Veganism, even the promotion of those causes. It’s just that together they seem to make up 20% of that tab.

Fascism doesn’t arrive in uniform overnight. It arrives with suited politicians, one piece of legislation — or executive order — at a time.

The language here is attempts to be medically scientific by using legal-feeling clauses in order to mitigate the sex/gender/society construct.

As many people in the replies point out, sex simply doesn’t work like this through scientific observation.
BREAKING: Here is the anti-trans sex/gender executive order. It's extensive, it's bad, and it's often lawless. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

And, do not miss in "d" and "e" below, it even tries to put in the beginnings of a personhood argument, for some reason.
