Would love to hear your thoughts on this. A good midpoint turn that directs your characters on a different quest than expected is a joy, but there's a danger of betraying your audience. How do YOU handle that? (We know our answer...)

2023 was a year of uncertainty with the WGA strike. 2024 I sold 2 pilots and worked on a show I loved. Our business continues to eek along and while there's more uncertainty ahead I'm so so grateful that I still get to do a job I adore.

Whenever I'm writing in a coffee shop, I ask a stranger to watch my computer while I'm in the bathroom, and then I go to a second guy right in front of them and ask them to keep an eye on the first guy.
