‘I began to wonder if there was anything significant to write about. But when I began to investigate photovoltaics, I found that here was a success story that begged to be told…

…1973, annual output pv ~20-30 kW, next year doubled. In 1978, 1 MW - 1998, >100 MW’

NEW LOSCIL EP / photo zine!!!

"Musically, Ash [joins my] more sparse and somnambulant works like stases, coast/range/arc// and Umbel. It embodies the stillness of a forest after a wildfire. There’s a similar feeling in the desert. Life at its arid edge."

I tore apart the original receiver hardware and built UV and backlighting LEDs, cooling components, and driver circuitry into the space left behind. Wrote code to control brightness, LED animations, etc. I wanted it to look stock until you turn it on, revealing the fluorescence.

For the first time in more than 100 years, Chinook salmon have been spotted at the confluence of the Sprague and Williamson rivers in Chiloquin, the government seat of the Klamath Tribes in Southern Oregon.

Salmon clear last Klamath dams, reaching Williamson and Sprague rivers
Just a year after four dams were removed, a group of fall Chinook have migrated nearly 300 miles into the Upper Klamath Basin.
