I don't think we talk enough about how dignity is also a human right.
Food, water, shelter, education, health care, representation...all of those are human rights that everyone should receive regardless of who they are. But it's also a right to not have to beg for them.

Frost: Tonight the people stealing are not folks with tattoos and hoodies but people wearing suits and ties and congressional pins sitting in the capitol now, not in some alley wrapped in darkness but the United States congress wrapped in the flag. It is disgusting and we will never forget this.

Mother's Day is a complicated holiday for many, myself included. My mother is still alive, for which I'm grateful, but our relationship is strained over the fact that I'm a queer, trans social worker and she is a -phobic, racist Trump supporter. Plus, being a transmasc parent makes the day weird.

Stop using "felon" as a pejorative.
I have known A LOT of people charged with or convicted of felonies who were good and decent people. When you have 4% of the world's population and 22% of the world's prisoners in a racialized police state, "felon" isn't predictive of anything, character-wise.
