Okay, it took me three days to finally do this, BUT!

You can buy whistles from us now!

I stress again that getting the whistles free is the OBVIOUS OPTION but some folks want 1-5 Kit Rocha whistles instead of 100 whistles, or to support us. So. OK!

The Daily Tar Heel conducted an anonymous faculty survey during the Fall 2025 semester; roughly one-fourth of the respondents said they were planning to seek employment elsewhere within the next year.

As a someone with a 33 year NIH-funded lab whose grant is supposed to be reviewed this week, shut NIH down if that is what's needed to end ICE terrorism. Innocent lives are more important 🧪
The Senate may choose to vote together on the DHS and LHHS bills. Thus, a filibuster on DHS may mean no funding for NIH. What my colleagues are saying:

“Shut it down, public health will understand. I’ll work without pay again.”

Story of the modern US state and capitalism since at least the 1940s—always money for war, police, and surveillance, and never enough for socially useful institutions, food, shelter, health care, and other public goods
It should piss everyone in the U.S. off that a first-year public school teacher averages $45k a year, while a first-year ICE agent averages about $80k and gets a $50k sign-on bonus. We are bankrolling terrorists & bankrupting teachers. This is a systemic values problem, not a budget one.
