Got my shot 12/26, got the flu 1/4, so probably not enough time for any protection but it was genuinely the worst lol
hey even if you got a flu shot, I don’t recommend getting the flu

Wow lol
Jake Sanderson post-game about the team’s goaltending tonight.

“I think Leevi(Merilainen) made some good saves. But I think at the end of the day, you got to make more than 10 saves to win a game.”

NEW WEBSITE UPDATE:

- Exponential decay RAPM charts are now updated
- New assist plots are up with video. These are calculated using the NHL puck/player tracking API (available for goals only)
- Fixed some bugs. Utah players are back now. MTL logos appear on video page

Coming soon to the website...

Obviously a lot to flesh out but would be cool to add some more metadata to that tooltip...maybe even shot velo? Gotta also figure out a way to do full rink stuff + make the tooltip not block the passing animations

If we get a “slow == bad” reasoning for Jason Robertson not making the Olympics in the big year of 2026…god help us all bro. I just genuinely cannot see an argument for leaving him off that I would take seriously

I am a good person, so I want America to lose forever, but if they leave Jason Robertson at home for the olympics I think professional duty will compel me to commit a sequence of crimes.

An absolute joke.
Obviously @russohockey.bsky.social already has had the big well-reported story on the likely USA roster from earlier this month. But the feeling from talking to some Stars people is that Jason Robertson is still on the outside of the USA Olympic roster.

Primary Assist heatmaps for 2024-2025 season as well as current, based on strength. Pretty cool stuff happening on the powerplay and one of the reasons why xG models (publicly) are so much less accurate for that strength

Y’all have any advice for writer’s/research block in regards to sports stuff? I feel like the last month or so I genuinely just have no clue what to delve into and it’s driving me insane. Usually it’ll just be something that I notice from watching games but literally nothing has popped into my head
