Woke and in favour of a functioning NHS and criminal justice system, benefits for the less fortunate, decency and honesty. So delighted to have got rid of the Tories #FBPE

The potential damage to the BBC's reputation as an honest and impartial reporter of news has already been undermined by political influence on senior appointments.
It is time for the current Gov to remove all future govs from influence, and ensure a true global presenter of reliable information.

If I was the board of the BBC, I would announce we were immediately suing Donald Trump for reputational damage following truthful reporting that he lied was untrue.

People will mock this. But something to note:
When Remembrance Day was introduced, this is EXACTLY what many British WW1 veterans did on it.
They would meet up with old friends and colleagues from their units. Talk. Laugh. Cry. Toast those not there and get joyously, and utterly shitfaced. /1

What a fascinating watch! Thanks Terry!
This video had some things that quite surprised me about how plays were done in Shakespeare's times.
It's an interesting watch.

I wonder what it would be if Farage and the Fantasists had their way?

The clearest explanation of what is happening in the USA in any form of media has landed ↙️
A clear case of the left buttock having no clue what the right buttock is doing, while they both protect the arsehole in the middle...
Left: Pete Hegseth, "We're building a Qatar Air Force facility in Idaho"
Right: JD Vance, "The reporting there is going to be a Qatari base on US soil, that's just not true"
If you can't trust the United States Secretary of War, who can you trust 🤷♂️

Love a good roast!
Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Six days ago, the Trump administration strong-armed ABC and Disney into suspending Jimmy Kimmel.
Thousands of Americans spoke out to protest this blatant attack on free speech, and now Kimmel will return to television tomorrow.
Never doubt the power of collective action.

I know gov petitions have little effect, but I've drafted one because it might just get some traction from gov and media to persuade people off Musk's shitter.
It's not yet submitted, so let me know of any improvements (bearing in mind limits on no of characters)
And is it worth the effort?
