The study, which was published in the Journal of Health Psychology, looked at how patients with Long Covid experience their illness. The recognition that "ME/CFS" is not one single patient group is so important!

Until we have lab tests that can differentiate, Drs can use the ME International Consensus Criteria/primer to select those who fit the myalgic encephalomyelitis diagnosis.

I agree one treatment won't fit all.

Mark Vink and Friso Vink-Niese have published a critique of the review on Long Covid interventions by Paul Garner and colleagues. Problems with the review include "relying on subjective outcomes in non‐blinded studies with poorly chosen control groups, selection, volunteer and self referral bias, response shift and allegiance bias, small study effect bias, selective reporting of the objective outcomes."

NIH, which began this week terminating projects studying long COVID, has reinstated the grants, after pressure from Sen. Todd Young's (R-IN) office, an HHS source tells me.

Young had secured a commitment from RFK Jr that he'd continue funding long COVID research.
