Shame on Queen Mary University! The London University is allowing experimenters to cut mice open and infect them with bacteria to induce sepsis in horrific and pointless experiments. Take action now! petauk.org/4bj #QueenMarySepsisCruelty

An amount of money earned from a job away from the one they're elected to do should be deducted from MPs salary.

They insist that benefit recipients face similar sanctions, so they obviously believe that's the right thing to do when it's taxpayers' money we're talking about.

A Parliamentary Code of Conduct echoing normal employment standards needs to be codified and enforced.

In what other job could you be paid £94k from the public purse for not doing it?

And Farage whinges about civil servants being overpaid and the minimum wage for young people being too high?

Farage earns more than any other MP for NOT being an MP. He says it’s “obviously sad” that part of his constituency is the most deprived area in England.
But everything he’s ever done, said and wanted has made sure of it.
This is the whole country if he gets into power.

When Big Oil companies claim to be partners in climate solutions, remember: they are lying.

As the climate crisis intensifies, Chevron is once again "increasing investments in oil and gas exploration," Reuters reports.

We sacrifice what’s real—natural world, sentient animals, our health, climate—to uphold a contrived paradigm that equates meat with wellness and prosperity.

Going to post one of these every day as a reminder.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

I've always felt that Johnson and Farage put self-interest over the national interest - hence their dallying with Putin and his oligarchs. But directly colluding with a foreign government to take down the BBC feels like an act of supreme treachery

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

Honestly. My loathing for that man is boundless. Never a situation where he’s not looking to manipulate, divide, grift, self-promote, vilify, ruin…
He’s repulsive. And the damage he does to our country is catastrophic. And that is no exaggeration.
