A sort of tradition for me, is shooting this tree at this time of year, most of the time I get that one morning where the glow of the dawn makes the sky glow orange. When I started shooting this, there was none of the turbines on the distant hills.

A lone tree on a slope is my tradition to shoot at this time of year, can usually get one morning where the orange glow of the dawn light up the sky. The wind turbines were not there when I started shooting this, was going to stop, but all part of the evolution of the landscape, good or bad.

Posting each week to the Sharemondays was a learning thing for me, trying new things and seeing where my photography sits in the grand scheme of things, So as I took this picture of sunrise for this week, my reasons have not changed for me, I just like getting out with the camera. Seeing all the great pictures each week, has gave me new ideas, so thanks everyone and have a great 2026.

I always have a walk on Christmas morning, this morning it was dry and bit frosty, but after all the dull days recently, it just lifts the soul.

Once again the lightbox, has helped me get an image this week, got to try my new lens out as well. This is the last of the Scabious flowers, put the pot in the greenhouse to try and over winter it, just to see a bit of colour at this time of the year is special.

Another old dead flower , a hydrangea was the subject this week.

Went to Failford to see, what the Autumn colours were like , but with the River Ayr being so high, could not get near to any of my usual spots in the river.

I got to see the best of the colour lying on my back looking up. Looking around at eye level, not much showing. My old EF24-105 needs to be replaced, the barrel does more than creep now.

Another one from last Monday, this scene, I have always wanted to work, so I think getting it in fog is the last resort maybe.
