Time to decide on this week's #Sharemondays2025 winner and I just keep coming back to this image - every time I look I see something new. Particularly love the contrast between historic buildings, traffic and purpose in the crowds.

So much detail in this beautifully balanced image of a London shopping street in the run up to Christmas. Georgeously lit buildings, the Christmas lights and almost a disconnect with the people - everyone is set on their own purpose. So much busyness and movement - even in an image where everything is sharp the feel is all captured.

Love this view into an imaginary world - an image full of rich tones and textures. One of those images I just had to include for the way it captures the speed and adrenaline through the mud and chippings flying up at the lens Beautiful colours and patterns that draw me into the tree behind. So much captured in one image - lights, buildings, bustle, traffic, people, ... somehow all without looking messy.

Ok, I've debated with myself long enough. This weeks #Sharemondays2025 winner is @jillholl.bsky.social with this glorious ICM image. The soft complimenting tones just ooze optimism for me and in these dark winter evenings, it's exactly what I needed.

The tones in this image work so well for me, soft and complimentary. The ICM feature, positioned perfectly, has just enough detail to pull me in through the soft mist like surrounds. Such a fantastic graphical image. On first glance I would swear it was a sculpture of some sort, perhaps in front of the Louvre or something. Then, when looking deeper the slight detail within the silhouette unearths it's true origin. A wonderful abstract with so much interesting detail within it to let the mind wander. For me I see 2 grumpy characters on a pebble/rocky beach under blue skies with a fading moon. The shape of the rust and decay helping to create the features of what look like the little British Gas flame characters from their adverts. Maybe they're not happy with the new price hikes :) Great use of movement in this image. The Old Town description adds to the feel of the image, mystery, ghosts and ghouls. The faint face in the distance and the gorgeous streaks and curves of light on the right hand wall all help to compound the haunting feel to this backstreet scene.
