Notes February 24, 2025 at 9:35 AM “My wonderful, incredible acolytes. First off, I want to say how much l've missed you all. Your support and kindness mean the world to me, and I've been thinking about you even when I haven't been able to show up like I used to. I owe you an explanation for my absence, so here it is—raw, real, and with a sprinkle of my usual bullshit (because I can't make a serious post to save my life, apparently). As some of you know, l've been dealing with health issues for a bit over a decade now. Moving was supposed to be a fresh start—a chance to focus on my art, stream more, and finally catch a break from the hell that is regular life. But life, being the chaotic little gremlin it is, had other plans. My body decided to take the concept of "rest" to a whole new level. I went from being able to stand for 10 minutes (woo, big flex) to collapsing after 30 seconds like a newborn deer on ice. So, yeah, my bones are officially in their "diva era", and I might be mildly having an aneurysm over it. On top of that, the mental load of feeling useless has been a lot. Not being able to contribute financially to the household (thanks, slow commission season) and actually relying on others has been a huge adjustment for someone who's used to being a consistent workaholic. My brain and body have been in a constant tug-of-war, and honestly, it's exhausting. But I'm safe, I'm surrounded by family who ACTUALLY care about me (finally, right?), and I really am trying to be kind to myself as I navigate this weird, frustrating chapter. I know I haven't been the consistent, chaotic, pseudo-motherly presence you're used to, and I'm so sorry for that. I miss you all terribly, and I'm working on finding ways to be more present, even if it's in small ways for now. I'm hoping stepping back into gardening will give me something small to focus on, that we can experience together. Your patience and understanding mean absolutely everything to me, and I'm so grateful for the love you've shown me, even when l've been so freakin quiet. Thank you for sticking with me through all of this. I'm not giving up-on my art, on streaming, on living, or on you. I'm just... learning how to exist in this new reality. And hey, if nothing else, I'm getting really good at couch-based activities. Endless puppy photos, anyone?? I've got SO many now. Love you all to the moon and back, Your dizzy lich momma, Min.” The note ends with an emote of a tan elf with teal hair, purple eyes, and half rimmed gold glasses blowing a kiss at the reader.

The people gunned down at the ICE facility today were detainees, not agents. Now it's possible that that was simply unintended, but it deserves some clarification before we label this as an "attack on ICE" and forget all about the detainees who were actually killed by the bullets.

I would urge against referring to what is happening to Kilmar as a deportation. When people are deported, they are sent to their home country or "country of origin." What is happening to Kilmar and many others under the Trump administration is... something else entirely.

The System Killed Her. A recent report led to the striking discovery of a woman who died in LASD custody in June amid a legal assault against anti-ICE protestors. Her story raises troubling questions. with picture of Adrienne in background As if it were nothing more than a minor aside, the article’s author then immediately shifts away to other information. A woman was found dead in her holding cell directly near the courtroom she had been in earlier that day, where she pleaded not guilty to assault and battery of a police officer, and all she had was a fairly vague paragraph. If she were an anti-ICE protestor, as the article seemingly implied, then this would be a major escalation, as she would be the first anti-ICE protestor to die in Los Angeles. This would have been the direct fault of the state, in particular ICE and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD), which was in charge of her detention at the time. Even if she weren’t, the seeming lack of details and the fact that it took multiple months for this tragic story to be reported on at all seemed perplexing and worth investigation.
