The real problem for Bond is also the problem for Batman, Doctor Who, and dozens of similar characters -- the idea that a melodrama hero must also be a dramatic protagonist. The two roles are fundamentally irreconcilable. I blame George Lucas and Joseph Campbell.

Having Lilysa or Mikarin "win" in the final arc is completely antithetical to the entirety of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction. Lilysa has spent nearly 200 chapters being the embodiment of "I am not interested in competing, I hope we all make it."

I think digimon has gone downhill since it started regaining popularity!
I miss when the fandom was just a bunch of neurodiverse queers talking about our niche favorite aspects of the franchise, and when I was able to access wikimon without traffic-related issues.

And I just realized Futaba-kun Change basically ends with that plot point in Superman (2025) where everyone finds out they're literal aliens from space, except everyone's cool with it and Futana actually has that secret harem.
Happosai sucks, but at least the rest of the main cast acts as a foil to him at every turn.

Monthly Shonen Jump: What if had a Ranma 1/2 ripoff with exactly nothing that made it good and the worst supporting character you'll ever meet that makes the sleaziest Rumic World characters look tame in comparison since they get rewarded in the end despite the shit they pull?
Ranma 1/2 may be dated, but nothing in it is comparable to how much significantly worse Futaba-kun Change is. Especially this character.
