Man, how Oilers fans feeling about the trade right now?

Anytime you can get a win with your top 2 D wearing street clothes, it’s a good night. Chinakhov has officially surpassed his goal total for the 29 games he played for Columbus in just 11 games in Pittsburgh. Malkin continues to look like a man possessed in his new role, despite some mental errors.

I have matured to a degree over the years.

Not enough to be trusted with those seats.
OMG THE COUPLE ON THE 4K FEED IS GETTING TEXTED ABOUT BEING ON THE 4K FEED

I am once again demanding answers.
Seriously, what is Rust doing to his damned twigs?
January 20, 2026 at 12:20 AM
Yeah, my kid is clearly gifted. Kids his age aren’t even supposed to be old enough to have full on toddler meltdowns about not being able to hold onto an uncooked chicken sausage while he gets ready to take his afternoon nap.

I legitimately don’t like how everyone has started presuming the Patriots are gonna beat the Broncos. Like, that’s still a good team! And the Patriots absolutely have flaws. They’re a better team than people expected, but it’s not like Denver is completely without talent once Bo Nix leaves the field

I know lots of people are worried about Boston sports fans, especially Patriots being unbearable again. And I want them to know that they’re overthinking this.

We aren’t becoming unbearable again. We remained unbearable the entire time, just for slightly different reasons. You just stopped caring.

That grass be slippy.
January 18, 2026 at 9:22 PM
The weird thing about the Patriots this year is that I can absolutely talk myself into the narrative of them winning today even though I definitely feel losing in the more likely outcome.

I give them more than just an “any given Sunday” chance, at any rate. Last week set the stage quite a bit.

No goalie is better at making desperation saves to pull the Pens to a shootout than Arturs Silovs.

No goalie is less likely to win one.
January 18, 2026 at 2:51 AM
Did not like how sloppy the last two goals the Pens gave up were. More about how they happened than THAT they happened. And yes, on the one hand, you’re up 6-1 and taking your foot off the gas is understandable. On the other hand, that’s a better argument for retreating to a MORE defensive strategy.
January 16, 2026 at 3:13 AM
Unfortunately, once it went down to a shootout, the odds of Silovs winning were effectively nil. Glad we got a point out of it, even though the whistle should have blown on the Tampa goal.

The fact that blocking on Twitter no longer functions the same way makes me wonder if O’Connor-Ratcliff v. Garnier and Lindke v. Freed no longer apply, because they are such fact-specific circumstances.
January 11, 2026 at 4:14 PM
The Pens definitely could have challenged that goaltender interference. Crosby definitely got shoved (though he was in the crease already). Obviously plenty of reasons not to, but that one felt winnable.

I’m sure a picture of my kid will be publicly available at some point. But I’m also certain that I’m not gonna be the one to put it there. Them deciding is what matters most.

DC in the snow was worse than Boston. But the absolute funniest weather-related phenomenon I can point to was Camp Lejeune. To prevent accidents, they literally shut the base down because of less than half an inch of snow and some freezing rain.

Yes, the United States Marine Corps took a snow day.
this is the most accurate thing ever written about LA drivers, absolutely fucking nobody knows how to drive in the rain out here

if we ever get snow on the freeway somehow the 405 is just going to be one continuous car accident
This is what people don't understand about LA. This place is all about cars, sure, but most people sit in bumper to bumper traffic and don't actually know how to drive. Then you add rain and oil and it's like Spy Hunter out there
January 5, 2026 at 12:46 AM
Pens do not make it easy some nights. But they’re gutting out wins without Malkin and building something interesting.
January 4, 2026 at 10:50 PM
What the hell is Bryan Rust doing to his sticks? I feel like he’s lost like 5 of them in the last few games just blocking shots that don’t do anything to anyone else.
January 3, 2026 at 5:42 PM
This has been a really, really weird game for the Pens.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! Thank you all so much for for the support this year, truly so lucky to have to get to share #pittsburgh with so many of you. These are some of my favorite images from last year and can’t wait to see what 2026 will bring.

I have no idea what an “indoor fireworks show” comprises, but it sounds either great or terrible. Was debating going to find out so if it was good, I could take my son to one eventually, but I didn’t get as much done today as I would have liked. Them’s the breaks.

Anyone there: post a video, please

The Penguins remain a deeply weird team.

Let’s look at their offense in December.

2 x 0 goals
0 x 1 goal
2 x 2 goals
2 x 3 goals
4 x 4 goals
2 x 5 goals
0 x 6 goals
1 x 7 goals

They scored 3 or more goals 9 times, more twice as often as they scored 2 or fewer. In those 9 games, they went 4-1-4.

This is an entirely unsustainable rate of scoring for the Pens. Every flukey shot tumbling in on strange bounces.
December 31, 2025 at 12:45 AM
I hope that they throw Chinakhov up on the first line with Rust and Crosby. I just have never liked Rakell on the same line as Crosby. It’s not a matter of skill, it’s just… trying to cook a grilled cheese sandwich but instead of bread, cheese, and butter, you’re using bread, butter, and more bread.
