I was listening to Marquee Moon earlier. Absolutely the best album by a CBGBs band put out during the CBGBs heyday. A painting of a city rendered in guitar, bass and drums.

Weaklung will be pulling our music from Spotify. The initial decision to put it up there felt like an obligation, especially after chatting with someone at a show we were opening who wanted to check us out before the show, but I think we’re pretty okay with taking that hit in future.
We have confirmation from Spotify that it is running ads for ICE - thanks for heads up from @oiedecravan.bsky.social

Went to a wedding last night. Every single conversation I had at least touched upon the dissonance of experiencing a joyful moment amongst *all this*.
A thing I think it’s important for USians not in currently-occupied cities to grasp is that the normal and everyday goes on alongside the violent and unprecedented.
In Chicago right now you can be forced off teargas-soaked streets in the morning and have a peaceful evening picnic on the lake.

HOWEVER Barnsley in Yorkshire would beat Grants Pass if not for the technicality that it’s a town, not a city. The US plays fast and loose with its definition of “city” and it’s frankly embarrassing.
