Reminds me of the protest marches full of pink pussy hats in 2017. Angry knitters/crocheters can produce a LOT of hats in a short time.

One thing I've always been fond of is our windows.

Having contiguous exterior\interior spaces was important to us- but early on we realized interiors needed different ambient light from the exterior to feel properly cozy

The world is complicated and I'm not interested in "cozy" as whitewashed escapism. I am more interested in appreciating what we have. Especially those small shared moments of beauty and caring we carve out in the middle of the storm.

I know it's trite to say Spirit Crossing is "inspired by studio ghibli" at this point but @danctheduck.bsky.social has been a strong advocate for "cozy contrast"; in order to feel warmth and safety, the cold, damp and scary must exist to ground it.

Went to an aquarium supply store last night and was delighted to see the staff in N95 masks and all customers still required to wear masks also. I wish I saw more places still doing this. The “Covid surcharges” sign behind the till particularly got me 😂

Current status: being a terrible human. (Pansy’s regular vet wanted her to have a follow up ultrasound at a specialist, so she has been starved, drugged and kidnapped - aka, no food after midnight, mild sedative, and car ride.) Oh, the betrayal. #Cats
Pansy, a short-haired dark tortoiseshell cat, poking her head out of a tan cat carrier, pupils widely dilated as she stares at the camera.
