With the USA tariffs, all people need to do is find one or two products we buy manufactured in the states, and switch to an alternative sold by another country - which I guess supermarkets and other retailers will already be investigating

Good grief, can we desist with this nonsense. Barring convicted criminals from holding office - especially criminals convicted of abuses of power - is just basic civic sense. The option of not stealing taxpayers' money was right there. www.economist.com/leaders/2025...

Am not currently persuaded that fairly enforcing the law against corrupt politicians heralds the end of democracy, but am impressed by the reaching on display. Solid effort, 9/10 all round.
